RE-UPLOADED due to an issue with the credits music. I apologize in advance.

So, how do I follow up my BIGGEST COUNTDOWN EVER? Well, since this is February, the month of love, let’s talk about something *I* love…arcade games. Specifically, old-school arcade games. These games were simple, addictive, and just plain fun…well, the good ones were, anyway. so here’s my list of what I think are the best arcade games of the 1980’s.

Also, I tested out a new transition and number text style. Let me know if I should stick with it.

  1. Pretty good list. Although, personally, I'd swap Tower of Druaga, Arkanoid, and Ninja Turtles for Space Fury, Defender 2, and Major Havoc. That and probably sub out Pac-Man for Ms Pac-Man and 1943 for 1941.

  2. Satan's Hollow must trump more than a few selections on this countdown.

  3. That Pac Man 2600 release was an abomination but yes..I bought it the second it came out! Anything PAC MAN including a table-top with the name "Pacri Manster" (sold at Jewel food stores) was in my house..then the actual game arrived thanks to Jaaks Pacific,

  4. Sorry kid, but I'm not sure you are old enough or qualified to comment on arcade games from 2000 onwards.

  5. Great list. Totally agree with your top 3 🙂 I would have thought Star Wars by Atari would have been in the top 15 because the 80's was just dominated by Star Wars and the arcade game was sooo faithful (to the point that Return of the Jedi arcade made everyone say 'wtf!', but God knows which game I would have replaced lol.

  6. No Dragon's Lair, even for honorable mention? I am disappoint. 🙂

  7. what was the game where u were a bar and had to break bricks with a ball?

  8. You got the answer, PAC-man has been longing a decade for a long time.

  9. dude, it's great that you love 80's games but if you're in your 20's, there's no way you grew up as a kid in the 80's and 90's. I'm 40 and I was 10 in 1986. You had some good analysis though.

  10. I've seen the popeye game. just never put the two and two cause there were so many ripoffs of everyone else in the 80s. Maybe they made a different version of the liscense after that deal fell through but I definitely saw a short lived Popeye game when I was a kid.

  11. What's the name of the shooting game were you go around in a full circle and you have to shot the enemy ships that comes through the middle?

  12. What is the name of the video game with the Knight @ 6:47 please ?

  13. Defender
    Asteroids
    Ms pac man
    Starcastle
    Donkey kong
    Asteroids deluxe
    Tron
    Galaga
    Pac man
    Space invaders

  14. Pookas follow Dig dug so not so innocent after all!!

  15. My top 10: Defender, Missile Command, Galaga, Battle Zone, Time Pilot, Berzerk, Tron, Ms Pac Man, Narc, Pole Position

  16. As a teenager I sadly was never around when arcades were common. There is one in my home town, but it’s focused mainly on pinball with only a few video games and the only reason my dad knows it exists is from following a Facebook page about kids with aspergers.(I have aspergers and my dad won’t stop reminding me even though I am very social and open to new things which basically means I’ve made drastic improvements. My best friend also has it and he never leaves his house, maybe HE should be the one getting help.)

  17. Beware I Live! Run Coward!! I Hunger! ROAAARRRR!!
    I am SINISTAR!

  18. 14:35 HOLY ****! I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME!

  19. That first game you mentioned, reminds me a lot of 'Tutankhamen [I think it was called]. But Tutankhamen was a lot faster, harder, and the graphics more intense.' My top 10 by the way would be as follows: Mr Do, Mr Do's Wild Ride, Mr Do's Castle, Galaxian, Space Harrier, Gorf, Pacman, Defender, Parodius, Marble Madness.

  20. whats the name of the game played in intro between time stamps 1:31 to 1:36. anybody????

  21. One of my own top 15 arcade games is Galaga 88 and PAC & Pal

  22. This guy claims about how the games were back in the day but come one man. You are only like 28 here in 2013, so say you were born in 1985. Let's say you would really understand games well by the age of 8. It's already 1993 by then. Nintendo had been out for 8 years and Super Nintendo for 3, and by the time you were 11 N64 already out. When you say things like games aren't like they were when you were a kid, you're a LITTLE young to be saying that. If you were 10 years older, then I would think you qualify. As soon as you included games like Gradius and TMNT in your list of top 15 of the 80's and didn't include so many games that were real 80's games that defined the era. Games that many people said like Defender, Tempest, Centipede, Mr. Do, Gauntlet, Kung Fu Master, Ms. Pac-Man, Marble Madness, Pole Position, Spy Hunter, Tron, just to name a handful…

  23. How do all these lists miss my fav from the 80s… The sit down, all black, Starwars game? It was EPIC!!! You see it in movies, and I remember it being everywhere back in the day, all the arcades had it, even pizza places. It can't have just been me that loved that game, it was the best. P

  24. It would’ve been funny if Dio came in when your mom showed up

  25. Sorry dude, you voice was too irritating for me. I had to bail out at number eight.
