  1. Loved Leisure Suit Larry, it would take 15 minutes or so to dial up tech support with your modem and request a tip to move on when stuck. Between LSL and Willy Beamish, Dial-a-Bottle made a lot of overnight deliveries to our place back then, lol.

  2. the slow pace of prince of persia threw gamers away even in the 80's.

  3. Joining Watchmojo is hard. I have tried to subscribe 3 times with 3 email accounts Safe-Mail.net, Gmail.net and Mail.com but do not recieve an Activation Code or Link at any of them. Whats up here?

  4. ……………..Oh and there is no way to contach them on their main page

Yes! Lode Runner! It's been so long since I've played that one.
Don't think any of my friends had a pc back then..
I also remember Captain Comic, Prehistoric, Miner VGA, Stellar 7, aah those were the days!

  6. Great list all and all. Pirates is one of my favorite. I really loved also the remake for its beautiful graphics but the original still kicks ass. Sadly I am so young that I didn't had a change to play Oregon Trail.

  7. I think Bard's Tale II really should have been on this list. It still stands on it's own even now, and back then it was revolutionary. It did for RPG's what Quake II did for multiplayer shooters.

  8. wasteland was also (to my opinion) the prequel to the fallout franchise

  9. How can you have an 80's PC game list without Thexder?

  10. Let be real, most gamers in the 80's where using either the CBM 64, Amstrad, or Sinclair spectrums. PC's where to expensive. it was these 8 Bit machines that created the revolution in gaming with most games being miles better than what was in this list. Classics such as Paradriod, Mercenary, Elite, Delta etc

  11. 10. Leisure Suit Larry in The Land of The Lounge Lizards
    9. Sid Meier's Pirates
    8. Wasteland
    7. King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella
    6. SimCity
    5. The Oregon Trail
    4. Maniac Mansion
    3. Ultima IV: Quest of The Avatar
    2. Where in The World is Carmen Sandiego?
    1. Prince of Persia

    Honorable Mentions

    Paratrooper
    Flight Simulator 4.0
    Zork
    Elite
    Lode Runner
    Battle Chess

  12. Simcity was my childhood game when I was a kid. It deserves first and Lode Runner second but Where's Pac-Man?

  13. I feel like elite definitely deserve this spot on the top ten here considering how influential the other games you have on the list r

  14. you forgot, mixed up mother goose AND Lode runner… I need help looking up the one with the king… someone help!

  15. there is even an old racing game that I used to love… old school "need for speed" you can design the track… I played that off a floppy disk.

  16. i think the game i have most played on pc was king quest II & double dragon… i have never liked sim city.

  17. defender of the crown is nice game! king's quest 3 is AWESOME!

  18. Leisure Suit Larry was a remake of a older text game called Soft-port Adventure. It is an almost word-for-word copy of the text.

  19. Автомобильный Программист says:

    Oh Yeeeehhh!!!

  20. How could you forget about the masterpiece that is Masters of Orion!?

  21. I don’t know who of you will remember this. But back in these days there was no internet And if you got stuck you would have to go to the store to get a hint book. They came with special glasses as the answers were invisible ink. I was playing police quest and was near the end. I was undercover and had a prostitute in the motel. But we had go get rid of her somehow. For the life of me I could not figure it out. I mean. This day and age. Just google it. Turns out all I had to do was call her a cab. Days I spent trying to figure it out.but when you did. What a great feeling. It’s to easy to cheat these days making games to easy at times. Sierra was the gaming rock stars of the 80’s. Truly the greatest decade. Anyways. Just a little trip down memory lane. Great video.

  22. thank god i grew up in the 90s , the 80s sucked in every way

  23. Dungeon Master with it's expansion pack Chaos Strikes Back

  24. It is anatomically impossible for a man to be a virgin….

  25. Brings back many great childhood memories. Thanks for posting! One question though… How did The Return to Zork not make this list?

  26. Starflight ?? M.U.L.E ?? Aaaargghh ?? I must to say EA Games were so amazing in 80s, back when Trip Hawkins was still a CEO in there……

  27. Good list, but let's not forget California Games, Winter Games, Space Quest, Police Quest (actually anything Sierra at all), Street Rod, Nuclear War, Zany Golf…

  28. Perils of ROSE-uh-luh? I always through it was pronounced roh-ZEL-uh.

  29. Half of these were Commodore games first and I doubt that'd what they meant by "PC"

  30. Battle chess. The combat scenes were amusing, but then I wondered why pieces could not fight back. And in my quest I found tabletop "Battletech a game of armored combat" where pieces do not go down without some good fight back. If the game is too complex for you, there is "Battletech beginner box" with simplified rules. Parents are using this game to keep their kids sharp in math for STEM careers.
