A 1-on-1 Vs Fighting game taking at at a karate tournament. It was the world’s first 1-on-1 Vs Martial Arts Fighting game released for the arcades. This game uses a duel joystick system where you must move them to execute the moves correctly such as punches, kicks, jump kicks.

This game inspired countless and endless number of fighting games especially street fighter and neo geo fighting games, Without this, fighting games in the arcades would have never existed.

There are 2 different versions of this game. Stadium and Street. The Stadium version comes first and gameplay starts at 2:11. Street Version (known as the Vs version) begins at 30:55 and gameplay starts at 34:06.

No cheats used. Only savestates used.

Note: The Stadium version (the original) is endless after beating the last level 30 times and shows no sign of stopping. After all levels are shown, I quit. The street version (known as Vs version) which has 12 different backgrounds in corresponding 12 levels, was thought to be endless which indeed, does have an ending. On this version, the levels only repeat themselves once, which means you have to play those levels twice in order to get to the ending. Once you beaten all of the repeated levels once, the ending is shown and the game is over. I also including the ending from the Japanese version which has the same ending but different fonts and uses Japanese characters.

  1. to play with hacks is too easy. the opponent never can hit u !!

  2. Kids today will never understand the rush the first time the bull came running at you …. lol

  3. Why does the music sound lower-pitched from other Arcade editions? Anyone know?

  4. My brother and I used to feed this arcade machine an endless stream of 10ps back at the Butlinโ€™s holiday camps around England in the late 1980s.

  5. I beat the machine back in the day on the last version he showed..because all the girls appeared on the screen and I was like.. that's it??? I felt like I wasted that quarter. lol

  6. First of all, this is the best game ever created. Secondly, I have never seen anyone finish this game on arcade, so if that's what has been done here-I am borderline amazed-have never seen it end like this with all the girls etc

  7. one of my favorites .Put a lot of quarters into this one

  8. just watch the score on the fights a total cheater. do not waste your time watching cheaters

  9. (Sound is a bit distorted in this video)

One of my fave Old Skool arcade games tho.

  10. The only arcade game I've ever beaten. Thanks to this post, I now know that it must've been the 'Street' version (since the 'Stadium' one never ends).

  11. If you were a young lad back in the 80s and hung out constantly at arcades you would know that each place would have a few regulars that were easily identified as the best players. This was one of those games reserved exclusively for those guys. The two joysticks and multiple moves were just too much for the younger crowd so we would stand and just watch the top players go at it for hours. I tried playing this but the quarter had very short life.

  12. In Vegas, I would ride my bike to the Showboat hotel bowling lanes with a pocket full of quarters to feed this machine…. got darn good at it for a hot minute. RIP Showboat

  13. honestly I would rather watch this than some idiot talk about the games. And they fucking expect us to pay to watch them talk about games. Watching playthroughs and review shows are secondary, the main idea is play the actual games. Anyone who pays with patreon for a youtube show about talking about video games is an idiot.

  14. I played this alot could be the game with one move ๐Ÿ™ƒ

  15. Wow, this version was the easy one. Back in the day I had to kill 3 bulls for the bonus screen.

  16. Back in the day my friends and I would blow hours at the 7-11 on this game! It was a wrap, once we figured out the pattern (back-flip: โ–ฒโ–ฒ, front-flip:โ–ฒโ–ผ,lunge-punch:โ–บโ–บ)… then, we could flip it multiple times off a single quarter.

  17. Does anyone remember an 80s karate video game where the karate teacher came on every few minutes and said STOP! JUDGE! ?

  18. I still remember most of the joystick combinations.

  19. Capcom's Street Fighter and SNK's The King of Fighters (And other vs. Fighting games too) inspiration, but also the pioneer was 1985 Konami's "Yie Ar Kung Fu"

  20. I didn't know Bob Saget was into marital arts

  21. Loved this game. Used to play at Sam's in East Bentleigh, Victoria, Australia. Recognise some of those moves hahahahaha. Like the old somersault over your opponent and give them a back kick. ๐Ÿ˜€ Never fails.

  22. I still remember when I used to mimic the moves of the red player at the beginning of the game for bonus points. Good Times……

  23. BE-GIN ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  24. Really miss these days. Things were simple and only a quarter got you into the fun.

  25. Quiero estรฉ juego dรณnde lo consigo?

  26. Check out the virtual fans, hahaha….I have so many good memories playing this game

  27. Wow I forgot about this !!! We loved this game !

  32. Ferris Bueller's Day Off just brought me here and holy did we spend all the money on this game back at the bowling alley. Great memories.

  33. I used to wear mofos out with that lunge punch…

  34. 1:26 never seen a mawashi geri executed so beautifully like that ๐Ÿ˜€

  35. I beat this game multiple times with a quarter, once I figured out that the kneeling stomach punch worked every time, once you started getting up higher in the levels….It takes the bull out every time as well.

  36. I could never beat thd bull or flying pots mini games

  37. Played this at the mall arcade room as a kid, good times.

  38. BE-GIN. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
